I used to work in London making adverts and music videos. It was a busy, sometimes glamourous life. I was a also a keen surfer and played semi-professional football until I suffered a serious sickness then things in my life had to change quite quickly. My sickness was chronic fatigue (ME) and the doctors didn't seem able to help me, in fact each medical doctor I saw said either 'I was fine' or would prescribe me medications that wouldn't help and seemed to make things worse. For a long while life felt hopeless and ill fated. I really felt as though everything was 'hard work'. I felt slow and also that I was the hamster on the wheel never seemingly to get anywhere.
Then by a series of coincidences (from my desire to heal) I started to learn about food and it's healing benefits. It was at this point when things really started to change in my life. When I changed my diet, or rather when I changed my thinking about food, I can honestly say that ALL aspects of my life started to take shape. Simply getting support to end the toxic food intake and replacing them with whole foods and nutrient dense foods was the key. When I ate foods like kale, spirulina, chlorella and other micro algae 'I began to get my thinking back'. This along with other super food intake like raw cacao and goji berries and like having a green juice every morning. Doing these things started to create the firm foundation in my life that I had always been searching for. This truly began my life and my path into nutrition education.
By simply doing the right things on a consistent basis my life miraculously changed for the better and I feel very grateful for that change. I didn't do it overnight and I never recommend this approach.
